I recently visited Thatchers Cider in Churchill, Somerset, where it's produced, and it was a fantastic experience. The cider is exceptional—refreshing and full of flavor. The nearby pub added to the charm, offering a cozy spot to enjoy a pint of this locally crafted cider. If you're in the area, visiting Thatchers and the local pub is a must for an authentic Somerset experience!

an amazing tour around the factory, we got to see blood orange cans being packed. the shop was cute and we got a few bits from there, staff are really friendly, sample sizes at the end of the tour were very generous! our tour guide was really informative and interactive with us. unfortunately we didn’t have a meal at the pub but after seeing the menus and seating areas we will hopefully be back to check it out!
overall really good experience! highly recommend.

Some of the best cider on the planet. Really exciting to come here. Just off of the strawberry lane bicycle path so makes a good part of a cycle trip

Great tour with the brilliant John - great to visit during harvesting season to see everything in full flow. Great selection of ciders to taste at the end. Pub offered flights to taste a wide variety, and the food was excellent, with enormous portions! A fantastic day out!

On our way from Lincolnshire to visit friends in the West, decided to drop by at Thatchers shop, at least 10 years since last visit so well over due ?
As big fans of T's cider it's an Aladdin's cave of choice but had to restrict ourselves to 10 litres of draught and half a dozen bottles though ?

Fantastic tour and a great experience for anyone who enjoys cider, or anyone who doesn’t! Really interesting and you are taken round all the different parts of the operation behind Thatchers.

You start off in the Thatchers owned pub, the Railway which has a fantastic selection of ciders of draught (as expected). You are then picked up by the tour guides. We had one of the Johns, who was brilliant and extremely knowledgeable. They also interacted a lot with the group and took the time to chat to people individually as they were walking from place to place.

Only improvement for suggestion would be it would be nice to try a few more of the ciders, we did get to try 4 of them but it was only a very small amount and there was a few more which would have been good to get a sample of. It was good to try some I haven’t tried before, including blood Orange and Katy, and Katy is now my new go to drink!

The shop is a must visit! Loads of ciders at decent prices to take home and also good to get other bits and bibs such as lanyards, glasses, beer mats and everything else you can think of Thatchers related. FYI you get a free hat from the tour!

Highly recommended!

Great tour with John in spite of the rain. Very informative which gave a greater appreciation of the art of cider making. Enjoyed the cider tasting at the end. Recommend you book for a meal at the Railway Inn on site as it gets busy. Next to the Strawberry line so recommend you cycle or walk for a day trip out
