I ordered two made to measure access panels initially to replace two access hatches to the eaves. You can see the space I wanted access to. As ever I spent an inordinate amount of time researching my needs before I ordered from these people. I ordered a bespoke width as that was the size of my opening. These were 900mm high by 450 or so. Two duly arrived and with some trepidation I cut into the plasterboard. They were quite easy to fit and made it look like a professional job. I am not an expert DIY guy (far from it) but these certainly made my life easier as I fitted each in a couple of hours. I am not quick. I ordered the push to open type which works well. I was so delighted that I ordered another 5 and now only have one more to fit. They make access to my void much easier and I have dramatically improved the insulation in the roof, added a light, found out where the smell was coming from (two open foul vents) and found yet another cubby hole to store my junk due to the access. These are not the cheapest, and I don't have any other companies product to compare them with. But I am delighted and think I made the right purchase decision.

Some recognition. A big shout out to Sam to who helped my along the way with more patience than I would have had in her position.

Some additional points:
1. I have had these with and without insulation. I would prefer without and cutting my own insulation for the back of the door.
2. I ordered a bespoke width. These were spot on.
3. It might be stating the obvious but you need a rectangular space to put them in with 90 degree comers. They are quite rigid as they are not flimsy.

I would recommend them.

I had 7 bespoke access panels made by these guys for my Selfbuild (picture frame and plaster in versions). Very helpful, responsive and good quality products. Can’t fault them. Only knocked a star off for cost as they can be quite expensive. I would buy from them again.

Terrible company as soon as they have your money they don’t care!!

Absolutely terrible customer seevice I have a faulty access panel door installed a few months ago. I’ve been chasing for a replacement for months with no reply to multiple emails. Now they are refusing to replace the door and offered a non workable solution to remedy the loose plasterboard within the door. screw into the plasterboard panel to pull it back won’t work!!!. I was told to buy a replacement door which is an absolute joke. Please avoid this company their various other poor reviews say it all.

We have been looking at different options for loft hatches for a while, when we came across The Access Panel Company. To be entirely honest, we didn't find the product range on the website very clear (i.e. it is quite hard to distinguish between the different hatches listed). However, we contacted the company direct and spoke to Ms McPhillips, who was extremely helpful!! She guided me easily though all the differences and recommended the right access panel for my project. On top of that, upon arrival of the parcel we noticed some damage and she made sure that another panel was shipped out straight away - even though it was the week before Christmas and it still arrived before! The panel is manufactured to the high spec finish we were aiming for and once plastered in (beaded frame) and painted, will be barely noticeable. In summary - great customer service and quality product!

Ordered items in May , came promptly but had to return them due to wrong size ordered. Returned them 30/05/17, to which i require a refund but have been told they havent been received back into store, constantly emailing and calling (never any reply). Am quite willing to order the correct size - but definitely not happy with this service !!
