A wonderful 16th century inn, you feel like one of the locals when you step inside! Staff are welcoming, friendly and warm, the landlords have done an amazing job in updating and keeping the historic features. Beautiful fireplaces and a double oak bar. Local ales and pub food done well! Visit on a Wednesday and there’s a pub quiz too! Dog friendly, vegan options on the menu, something for everyone. Would DEFINITELY return x

This gorgeous, completely refurbished pub is the jewel in the crown of Aberford. Visited it ages ago under its previous custodians and I have to say, the couple who took it over have waved a magic wand over this place. This is a picture perfect pub, utterly tranquil and cosy, amazing traditional atmosphere with all the homely touches that make a day out magical. We had the best lattes of our lives here also, which is a nice bonus. The staff could not be friendlier, funnier, or more eager to make your visit a great one. Best. Pub. Ever.

Stopped for an excellent coffee yesterday. Hosted by Mark and Gemma. This place is superb and is no doubt a key hub for the local community. Will make a special point of coming to see the Christmas lights this year after Mark took the time to explain all about it.

We didn't stop for food but cute pub. There was a party in the back we stopped for a couple of drinks with kids. Outside was a small area but cute and Staff were friendly. Very busy (good sign) would go again.

Under new management since December 2023 and it’s amazing. Good selection of cask beers. Family friendly. Excellent pizzas. Quiz on Wednesday, music on Saturday. It’s been cleaned and refurbed and the character is back in the pub. Oh and the staff are lovely. As a local I couldn’t be happier to have it back and on form. 10/10
