After a long walk to waters meet popped into Lynmouth. As we walked passed The Bake House and the smell was amazing. I just had to stop and test the pasties. Well I had the traditional steak pastie. I can honestly say it’s one of the best pasties I’ve had in a very long while and I’ve eaten a lot 😂.
The gentleman serving was so polite it was a pleasure to talk to him. These pasties are not brushed with egg so safe if you have an egg allergy. The filling was just right good amount of steak and vegetables and not dry like some you get. I washed it down with a latte which was a perfect end to a loverly day.
There was a queue but service was very good so we didn’t have to wait long but it was well worth the wait.

The best pasty I’ve ever had! I wasn’t all that fussed about pasty’s, I’ve always found them to be dry. But this one...my god! My husband was dying for a pasty and stopped off in Lynmouth for some chips so he was delighted when he also nabbed the last vegan pasty from here. It smelled so good, I was grateful he let me try a bit and then we ended up sharing it because I couldn’t get enough. I will be raving about this pasty for days and potentially the rest of my life. I don’t even care that it cost near abouts a fiver. So damn good.

Three and a pooch called in on a wet Wednesday, we were greeted with kind smiles and friendly conversation from Ian & Ben.
We managed to get a table with a sea view, just opposite the door.

All three of us chose the meal deal.
(A regular size pasty, tea/coffee and a cream tea, all for £8.95)

The pasties were fantastic!
( I live in the West Country and for a good sized, well filled, tasty hot fresh pasty £4.80 is a fair price! Not this mass produced Ginsters rubbish).

The scones were massive too and tasted divine. Ben had asked for our opinion on the scones, as he had baked them that morning with a new butter and they had turned out slightly different to before.

We will definitely be returning here, especially if Ian & Ben are working. During these difficult times, where everything is constantly changing, it is hard to find such good and friendly service.

Cheers guys, you made our day trip perfect!

Absolutely PHENOMENAL pasties. We had a Traditional and a Beef and Stilton (although there were about fifteen to choose from - they're on rotation in and out of the oven so you may need to hang about for a minute or two and be patient - just sit on the wall and enjoy the view for a bit). Not over-priced (£4.95 each) and well worth the money. Piping hot out of the oven with thin, crispy and well-made pastry; the contents absolutely stuffed in! Such incredibly friendly and helpful service - marked up the bags so we knew what was what. If we didn't live four hours away, we'd be back to stock up the freezer!

Had a steak pasty, which was really delicious, and 100% worth the wait in the queue. The man serving us was also so welcoming and friendly.

Our group ordered our food after one another and sat down to a table. 5 of us got the food at the same time while one had to wait another 10-15 minutes to get a tea. When we made a complain the waiter replied in a quite rude manner. Not to mention that everything is overpriced.

We had the chicken with bacon and chorizo pasty. It was very tasty and spicy. Price at 4.95£ ok for a tourist hot spot. You can enjoy it while looking at Lynmouth harbour.

My partner and I came down to Watersmeet to hike the trail to the hunting lodge, and afterwards parked in town and needed something to eat. We walked past the pasty shop thinking we’d get an afternoon tea, but the smell of this place was so amazingly good, we doubled back. We ordered the lamb and mint, ham and cheddar, and chicken, bacon and chorizo pasties. I think my mouth might be permanently burned because not only were they incredibly fresh and hot, I didn’t want to stop eating regardless of the heat. There are some 1* reviews on here but they are not fair, and are mostly from people whining about not being treated like royalty. They need to get over themselves cause these pasties are insanely good. I’d come back to Lynmouth just to sit in the sun on the rocks and eat these pasties again.
