Really great food in a quiet Friday lunch. Friendly and helpful staff. The food took a while to come but it was worth the wait. The pastrami was lush and cask been fab.

The Bay Horse in Market Weighton is a lovely spot for a tasty and fresh meal.

I started with the French onion soup, it was delicious. The broth was rich and full of flavour, with soft caramelized onions and a cheesy topping that made it extra special.

For the main course, I had the fish pie, which was excellent. It was creamy and packed with fresh seafood, topped with a golden crust that was just right. Every bite was comforting and flavourful.

The staff were warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. They were attentive without being overbearing, which added to the relaxed atmosphere.

If you're looking for fresh, tasty food and a friendly place to enjoy it, The Bay Horse is worth a visit.

So, we booked the function room for a Sunday lunch at which my new wife and I were going to make surprise announcement to our family. They didn't know we'd been to Gretna Green earlier in the week to get married!! It was Yvonne who helped us with the planning and organisation but it was her and the whole complement of staff that ensured we had a wonderful time. The food and service was brilliant and I'd definitely recommend the Bay Horse to anyone. Without a doubt we will be back. Thank you

Having eaten all over the world in many wonderful restaurants - I can wholeheartedly say that this is nothing short of perfection. The ambiance and service are first class and as for the food, this knocks spots of many a Michelin starred restaurant, the quality and skill in which dishes are created and presented must be experienced to be appreciated. This is an absolute gem. Thank you.

Excellent meal at lunchtime. We did not have the festive menu but chose off the blackboard and daily menu. All was delicious.
The service was slow, but very friendly. This could have been due to most people eating off the Christmas Menu and we bucked the trend. The fish is always delicious here. Would recommend.

The Bay Horse is a nice traditional two roomed pub. The bar is dog friendly. There is a good choice of beers lager and cider including three very reasonably priced hand pulled cask conditioned real ales. The real ale was in excellent condition when I called in. I didn't have anything to eat, but the menu did look very tempting. I would like to come back and try the food. It's a great pub for real ale drinkers.

We visited this small restaurant on a very chilly Saturday night and were impressed with by the unusual choice of food available. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Service was good but not outstanding, with quite acceptable amount of time between ordering and food delivery (just). Pricing was relatively expensive but food was good. Good choice of wine, even low alcohol ones (not to my taste though!)

Called in for Sunday lunch and the food was fantastic.Service was brilliant, fast and the staff were excellent. Will definitely be going again.
