Everything about this weekend break was perfect. We stayed in Old Justice, which is akin to a little cottage separate from the main building. The room boasts of a living area, large TV, Nespresso machine and a sofa bed. |As it was my husband’s birthday there was even a card in the room for him. Through to the old style bed, another TV and closet. The bathroom perfectly appointed and furnished with Molton Brown toiletries. After unpacking we headed to the bar area to enjoy a relaxing drink. A little pre dinner jaunt into Burford didn’t disappoint, a trip to the sweet shop, the cheese shop and the butchers a must.|We decided to book a table in the bar, where the same menu as the main restaurant is served, the rack of lamb cooked perfectly. As our room had a courtyard, we decided to order coffee and sit in our little garden - the lady at the bar said she would bring them over to us. Lovely touch. |After a very comfortable nights sleep, we ate breakfast in the main restaurant, as we booked b and b rate, the continental is included along with hot breakfast. Every member of the team was so helpful, polite and friendly, we can’t wait to go back. Thank you for making a memorable birthday.

Cozy atmosphere next to fireplace. Food was amazing ( beef cheeks and cottage pie) . Puddings was fantastic also. |Also staff is very friendly and helpful. |Many thanks for everything.... |Here time feel to stop and you will have invaluable memories. |Highly recommended place.

The Bay Tree is an absolute gem in the very pretty Cotswold town of Burford. Made up of a number of cottages and outbuildings, the hotel is warm, cosy and welcoming. I love the olde world layout with little snug areas to relax with a book or paper in front of a lovely log fire. Our room was Old Justice, which had a bedroom and lounge area being made up of the ground floor of an outbuilding just yards from the hotel entrance. Comfortable, quiet and more like a small country holiday cottage than hotel room. The dining room is beautifully decorated with plenty of tables. Service was spot on, and the food excellent. Sadly the weather wasn't good enough to look at the hotel garden, but it looked nice. The car park is big enough and well monitored. The town of Burford is lovely, with plenty of independent shops and places to eat and drink if you fancy a stroll. We will definitely return.

Home from a visit to Burford staying at your lovely hotel. Delightful helpful staff. Very comfortable beds in tastefully decorated bedroom.|Drinks by the log fire before heading out for dinner at The Angel (3 minute walk. Delicious food). Excellent breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel.

Let down by poor service and a disappointing dinner and breakfast for high prices.

We stayed in the oak suite for £312 , it was a nice enough room but boiling hot until we opened some windows, and a fairly spartan and dark.

The hotel asked for £20 to extend checkout by 1h which seemed unnecessary, basic tea and coffee only.

The biggest let-down was the service in the restaurant:

At dinner:
* Steak was overcooked (asked for rare, got medium)
* The menu didn't specify that sides were included
* The sides we did order (and didn't need) arrived after we’d almost finished mains
* We ordered bread and olives but it never arrived
* The wine we got was not what we ordered
* By the time anybody checked on us we'd almost finished eating.

Breakfast:
* Full English was not particularly full: one slice of dry bacon, dry black pudding a cheap sausage and a thimble of baked beans, no brown toast.
* Pastries were soggy and and had been sat out all morning.

A beautiful hotel, fantastic staff and incredible food. We hosted our wedding here and we couldn’t have asked for better! Highly recommended and will be returned for a hotel stay and food when soon. Laura made the experience easy and stress-free and helped make our day perfect.

We attended a wedding, I was absolutely fantastic.
The hotel is beautifully furnished and decorated, the staff were friendly, professional and courteous. The transition between the various stages of the wedding was seamless, expertly executed.
The grounds were immaculate, perfect for the wedding photographs and the food excellent.
We did not stay here as it was fully booked but friends said that it was great.

Amazing wedding venue.
My daughter got married here this weekend. The team at The Bay Tree could not have been more helpful and friendly and so well organised. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious . It is the most beautiful venue. The rooms are lovely. I would definitely recommend this hotel ( I know the afternoon tea is lovely too ! )
