We were visiting relatives in the area and found this little place. Rooms were immaculate, fluffy towels, comfy bed, everything you could require. David checked us in, he was extremely thorough explaining the room key, fire exits, breakfast etc. He was great and seemed to be the only person there doing everything. Checking in, serving at the bar, prepping breakfast, checking us out. They are really getting their moneys worth out of David. He works hard and is a pleasure to deal with.
Nice little bar that had a few locals popping in for a quick drink. Sad they don't do food anymore as they can't find good chef's. Lovely little place - recommended !

My wife and I have now visited a number of times and the Buxted has never failed to deliver.
Always welcomed with a smile and the rooms are clean modern and perfect for a short stay.
Lovely bar amazing quality wines at very good prices for the quality.
The restaurant is a must the food is outstanding the menu options are crafted with a huge amount of thought and skill which is delivered with perfection, the satay sauce with the chicken satay starter was just genius.
If you manage to save some room for pudding you will not be disappointed especially the cheese board local fresh and delicious.
Breakfast is an optional extra on top of the room price with a varied offering with amazing locally sourced produce we both had the full English which was excellent especially the black pudding.
We look forward to returning soon thank you.

We had one night at the Buxted Inn with our toddler. The hotel staff arranged a travel cot, although no bedding which we had to bring ourselves. There was also mattress for the travel cot so we had to improvise with pillows.
One point to make is the pillows were very thin and I had neckache in the morning. I don't know why hotels invest so little in pillows that can provide proper support. This is why I've graded the room as 4 stars - otherwise it was great and just what we needed.
We ate in the restaurant and the food was very good (steak a bit overdone, but overall very nice).
The staff were excellent, attentive and nothing was too much trouble.

Friendly and attentive service. Great food. Tasty local beers on tap. I had the special - slow roasted pork - and it was exceptional!

The food was very nice, would highly recommend the eggs benedict for breakfast. We were served by Dan and Harry. |Since covid customer service in this country has taken a decline but these two gentleman were brilliant and showed us a high standard of customer service still exists.||We had a great time and we will be returning.

We have had lunch here twice recently. The food is absolutely superb. The menu changes regularly, the service is friendly and attentive and the prices reasonable. Today we had the special starter which was smoked salmon followed by lamb curry. Both absolutely brilliant. Deserves to be busier….but not complaining as long as we can always get a table that’s fine!

This was a stay over for a work event and I was amazed at the cleanliness and service we received, the restaurant was very well set out with good space to eat without feeling squashed in and the food was sublime with reasonable prices to boot.
Highly recommended, and I will be revisiting with my wife when we are down in the area later in the year.

An amazing evening with Michelin star, guest chef, Tristan Mason. Lovely friendly atmosphere, good wine and great food. The menu was designed to put together fresh & beautifully paired ingredients, which made for a wonderful dinning experience, the staff were alsoexcellent.
