We had a really lovely birthday lunch at The Castle yesterday. The staff were warm and welcoming and the service was exemplary throughout.
The food was tasty and well-presented, and when the staff found out it was a birthday celebration they really went the extra mile.

Lovely hotel with great atmosphere. Beautiful room overlooking the church which was well equipped and had a very comfortable bed. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast. Thanks to the whole team for making us feel very welcome.

We arrived slightly earlier than we should have, we were greeted by a very friendly, cheerful & helpful receptionist who booked us in & took our breakfast booking, time & choices & gave us the key to our double room, we had been upgraded to a superior room which was situated at the rear of the hotel overlooking the church & grounds (graveyard) so it was very quiet ( I am trying to avoid any quiet neighbours jokes, oops I just did). The room was large compared to most rooms I have stayed in over the years, very clean with a very large comfortable kingsize or should it be called an emperor size bed? Soft pillows lovely clean cotton sheets & duvet & we had a great nights sleep. |The ensuite had a bath with shower & a toilet all very clean & plenty of towels. A good-sized smart TV, 2 chairs a table with an electric kettle, tea, coffee, milk & sugar (if needed,& we did, a top-up can be collected from reception). Bedside tables with table lamps & a mirrored dressing table with drawers.|The breakfast served by the cheerful friendly staff in a comfortable dining room. It was very enjoyable, we had cereal, fresh fruit, toast & a full English breakfast (sausage,bacon,egg, beans, tomato, hash brown & beans) fruit juice & two pots of tea.| Thank you to all who served us & the hard-working cleaning staff for making our stay memorable.|We were in Devizes to see a band in the Long Street Blues Club & we will definitely book into the Castle Hotel next time.

Warm welcome ,Spotlessly clean, Tasty food. Stayed overnight prior to a funeral. My wife must eat gluten free and she was reassured by the preparations made in the kitchen to accommodate her needs. The room we were placed in could accommodate 4 persons independently so ideal for a family with children or friends requiring a degree of privacy. Highly recommended.

The food arrived on time, and each course — starters, mains, and desserts — was delicious. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. The domestic staff (lady with dark hair) was very helpful, bar staff and reception staff were just very helpful and welcoming. I didn't have a single complaint. Close to all local amenities. I would definitely stay again if in Devizes. Thank you

Room was very good with an excellent mattress and pillows making for a good nights sleep. Nice atmosphere in the bar in the evening and a great breakfast in the morning with good service.
