Open fields and meadows alongside the River Tees. Incorporates the Teesdale way footpaths. Some picnic tables and a children's open play area.
Reasonable parking at Barnard Castle, elsewhere is restricted.
Dog friendly but sheep and cattle graze some of the adjoining fields.

Expansive green space near to the shops of Barnard Castle. There is a play park for children, open space for dogs and picturesque views from atop a small hill which has paths mowed into the grass. Very peaceful.

Large open space by the river.
A few mown paths leading nowhere in particular, which is nice, and the Teesdale Way passing through.
Small, rough car park, under repair.
A couple of popular picnic tables and a small playground.
