A very charming little hotel with a great atmosphere, truly an 'inn' vibe. The view from our room was fantastic, overlooking the church across the street and the small graveyard. Very comfortable room. The innkeepers and the team were very friendly and cool. The dinner was amazing!! The fish and chips and the steak and ale pie were the best we’ve ever had! And the gin selection could put even a Budapest bar to shame! ? If you want to have dinner here, don’t forget to book a table!

Chagford, one of the Jewels in the Dartmoor Crown, a beautiful village everyone should visit at least once, but not all at the same time! The Globe is set just of the village square. This was one of the only places serving food on a busy Sunday evening. Outside was clean and tidy, the same can be said for the interior, split into a bar, lounge and dining room. The bar was well stocked with drinks to cater for all tastes, as can also be said for the menu, great choices of starters and mains to suit all, even on a Sunday. There was ample food on the plates, the slow cooked lamb was to die for, unless your veggie, then go for the Field Mushroom and creamed Spinach pie. The service was friendly but not too attentive, prices were about average, around £25 per person but the food was exceptional. A small rear courtyard garden is an evening suntrap. Highly recommended, we will be back, thank you.

Stayed at the globe for 1 night, we've been here a few times now. The room was fantastic (very comfy bed) and the service was great, really friendly staff behind the bar and at breakfast. Have to give a shout out as well for the really good vegetarian options on the menu, hard to get sometimes anywhere in Devon.

We had such a lovely time! The staff were so welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The bed was very very comfortable - we were in Honeysuckle. The food was absolutely amazing. The place was quirky and funny, comfortable and homely. It was very clean. The decor in the dining room was a bit odd but we found it funny (father christmas being a highlight!) and the time taken to decorate the table for my birthday was a lovely touch. The garden area could do with some TLC - we went to a pub down the road to sit outside and enjoy their garden. The view from the Honeysuckle window could maybe do with some thought as well. But overall a really lovely stay and would definitely recommend.

What a delight it was to stay here again. Such a warm and friendly welcome, amazing staff, stunning food, and great accommodation. Dog friendly room with everything available just in case you forgot something. Cannot praise this place enough, our 2nd stay and we will be back ❤️❤️❤️

A brilliant gem of a country pub. Run by a friendly husband and wife team you're treated as if you've been a regular your whole life. Great selection of local beers and some good bottles of scotch. Steak and Ale pie was one of the best I've ever eaten.

The building is lovely, and the Wild Rose room very nice, BUT ... the mattress on the bed was so worn out on one side, it was impossible to get a reasonable night's sleep. The free street parking was OK. The breakfast was good. We would go back, but ask for a different room.

Not Allergy Friendly!
We’ve been coming to the globe for many years now and have never had a problem with my nut allergy. Apparently the ‘kitchen is too small’ so the chef ‘refuses to serve anyone with an allergy’. Extremely disappointed. They gave use a refund of drinks and we have had wonderful experiences in the past (when the kitchen was a bigger size? I doubt it). If you dont have an allergy I would recommend coming for the lovely atmosphere, but if you are coming to chagford with an allergy - stay well clear. The Ring O’Bells is just down the road was fantastic and were more than happy to accommodate us.
