Lovely pub in nice part of Exmouth. Over the road from the beach. We had curried parsnip soup which was too spiced with curry unfortunately but was OK if u liked it hot/spicy. Then toad in the hole which was a large Yorkshire pudding with three large sausages, swede, carrots, red onion and kale put in the Yorkshire pudding. It was very filling and sausages etc tasted good. No room for pudding. Bit on pricey side. We paid over 70 for 2 with a bottle of pinot but lovely location in the summer I shld imagine.

Smashing breakfast. Plenty of choice. Excellent service with friendly staff. Food choice was good. Highly recommend the hash browns! We had a fabulous breakfast, staff couldn't have done more for us as a big group booking. Food all arrived in good time. Will definitely return again. Thanks for a lovely time.

Great pub to watch Rugby. We were lucky enough to get seats when a couple offered to share a table. Very dog friendly. Stayed for food. Best pub food I've had in years. No photo evidence sadly. All food served was piping hot and clearly not mass produced. Beer great as well. All in all one of the finest pubs I have been in for some time.

Sunday roast!
I needed to change the dish quite a bit because of a health issue, what a kind, helpful bunch of people work there, nothing was too much trouble. The young man with reddish hair and beard was particularly lovely.
The roast chicken was delicious, I ate more than I normally would and even had dessert, sticky toffee pudding!! My husband really enjoyed the roast pork and rhubarb crumble.
What a lovely relaxing place to enjoy a Sunday lunch!
Thank you for making everything so easy!
Perfect! ☺️

Booked for Sunday lunch, ages to order then told food would be a minimum of 40 minutes. We were fed 1.5 hours after sitting down. Granted it was a nice day, there were loads of walk-ins ordering food, but if you book you expect to be fed in a timely manner. Food was OK, I had the sea bream which was well cooked but not scaled properly so couldn’t eat the fish skin which is a pity. Girl serving us - Sophie was run off her feet but coped really well.

A wonderful pub restaurant, we’ve been visiting whenever we are in Devon , the Sunday dinners are well worth travelling for . Yesterday we made the 1-3/4 hr round trip just to enjoy our favourite Grove Sunday roast . Great food and beer , especially great service and always a fuss made of our dog Alvin
