It's more of a local but does have a huge garden. The food was OK, but there was nothing to write home about. Cheap and cheerful and good portion sizes. I had the pulled pork off the bbq buy the meat was completely covered in very strong sauce, making it a bit much. Fries were nice. They had a good selection of beer.

Great find in a little village, plenty of parking spaces, food was really good for the price, fresh and tasty. The staff were very friendly and polite. We booked a few weeks in advance and first there at 12noon, they gave us a big table to sit 9 people in a 1 table room.

Stopped off on way home from Hastings having eaten here before and had the sea bream which had been delicious and was hoping to have again. Sadly they had sold out so opted for the avocado, prawn and salmon salad instead which was was very nice and had plenty of prawns and smoked salmon. We also had the chicken, bacon and brie salad which was extremely nice and the kiddies chicken goujons with cheesy chips.

Very warm welcome. Amazing selection of local beers and ciders, which is why this pub keeps winning awards from CAMRA. Good food. Very reasonable pricing. Quaint, old building with intriguing layout. Lovely location. Large car park. Covered outdoor seating available and a Significant and well equipped children's play area. I am planning to visit again. Thanks Tom and your team for enhancing my day. I did not want to leave.

Such a good country pub! So glad some places like this still retain their character and don’t over-modernise. Really friendly staff and great selection of drinks. The apple pie cider is especially good. Can’t recommend this place enough, stop by, you won’t be disappointed. Just wish I lived closer. Thanks again to all the lovely staff.

We came for Sunday lunch at this great quirky old pub that does lovely food and has a vibrant and friendly atmosphere. A selection of ales, many local, that are second to none and local ciders plus the usual range of other drinks you'd expect. We don't like our food piled high and found the portion sizes just right, nicely cooked and served with a smile. This was our first visit and we're already planning our next visit, we loved it and hope you do too. Be aware, this is a very popular pub and we'd recommend booking a table in advance.

Visited recently on a Thursday night and there was an artist playing live music it was ace as usual...The large outside bar has been re-done next to the waterproof area and the garden was really clean and tidy this pub just goes from strength to strength!
Continually very happy to recommend this venue to all visitors of our local glamping site for daytime and evening drinks plus inside/ outside food as well.

Stumbled across this lovely pub whilst looking for somewhere to eat. Being unfamiliar with the area, we headed to the nearest place, The Halfway House.
The food was fantastic. We ordered the fish and chips, burger, chicken goujons and calamari. All was cooked perfectly and were good portions. My daughter is a picky eater and she cleared her plate.

Bill came to £74 (5 meals and 5 drinks) which was very reasonable.

Will be back.
