A great proper pub full of friendly locals and very welcoming, helpful staff. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfy. Local store very handy and very tasty fish and chips down the road. Would highly recommend and would happily stay again. Thanks for making our visit so enjoyable!

Booked here since the price was good compared to that of other places to stay.
It's in a good location and not difficult to find. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Room cleanliness seemed to be the biggest issue I had. the room was in need of a deeper clean, especially around the bathroom. Also, there is a bad smell in the bathroom (possibly drainage).

Quite a loud pub (not a complaint), some people might struggle to sleep if they want an early night.

Overall, I had an OK experience, and I would stay again if I'm back in the area.

Why have a website that says you are open 7 days a week from 11 to 11, and a sign outside the pub saying now open every day and then be shut on bank holiday Monday Therefore it is impossible to review the place apart from to hopefully warn future visitors to check in advance of their visit. We won’t bother to walk there again that’s for sure.

Took over by new management recently and has been vastly improved. Lovely family run pub for family’s, great place to go and rooms are great aswell . Big beer garden and free parking , pints are chilled to perfection. My family love it here now . Has event nights aswell

We popped in for a drink and a bite to eat just before Christmas. Two of us and our dog, we were made to feel extremely welcome and the atmosphere was very friendly all round. The food was good, honest pub grub and very reasonably priced. A proper 'local' ?
