Staff are lovely, friendly and polite and so are the locals. Room has beautiful features and is spacious and cosy. Feels more personal than chain hotels. Church bells at night are lovely to hear from a distance. Would highly recommend if you are staying in the area.

We loved it. The Landlady was very friendly and allowed us to check in early as we were going to a wedding. The room was well equipped with traditional fittings you would expect in a period building.
Our room was very spacious with tea and coffee facilities and porridge if you fancy a light bite in the morning.
The other staff were also friendly and helpful and one of the main things was the cleanliness. It is located on the main street so a good spot for sampling the local market town facilities. Pubs, cafes restaurants and craft shops.
I would highly recommend the Londesborough for a trip to Market Weighton and can easily be used as a hub for discovering the surrounding villages and countryside.

Lovely warm hotel. The hotel is in the process of exterior painting etc but that doesn’t detract from being a lovely place to stay.|Great large rooms very comfortable. |Unfortunately they are not serving food at present but many options in the town

Enjoyed my stay here after walking from Hessle on the Yorkshire Wolds Way. I was too tired to check out the bar - or even the tv in the room - but the room was spacious, the bathroom fittings were chunky and traditional, and there was an old open fireplace in the room. It's nice to see a bit of old world charm and character like this. I think there was wooden wall panelling too. The owners/manager supplied a nice range of drinks, nibbles and toiletries, and even earplugs to block out any noise from the roadworks (or the bar entertainment, I suppose). Very considerate customer service and a very warm welcome. Thankyou.

Lovely clean rooms, but next to High Street so can be a bit noisy if you're in a room on the front of the building.
No breakfast but a fantastic cafe across the road which more than compensates...
Great as a place to stay if you're touring Yorkshire Dales or visiting York.
