I've been there a few times since it first opened for just a few beers, but this time, my wife and I went all out, thoroughly enjoying our evening as we worked our way through their drinks menu and sampled their food. The food we shared, especially the crop steak, was exceptional. We highly recommend a visit, with a special shout-out to staff member Kate, also known as "The singing drunk," for her exceptional attentive service.

A fantastic venue with stunning food and variety - the only fly in the ointment the reason for the 4* on atmosphere is just how snug the space is, and that will only get difficult the more popular it gets.

Myself and my wife visited the Meat Drunkery on a Thursday evening on a date night – we had quite a selection of starters for my wife’s main course (she's not a steak person, per se), choosing the BBQ brisket nachos, scotch egg and corn on the cob; I had the Camembert and a £21.50 ribeye from the meat store locker.

Every element of the meal was cooked to perfection, with special mention to both the Scotch egg, the Camembert and the perfectly cooked ribeye – it was expertly seasoned and set to rest perfectly, the chef in this place really knows what he’s doing.

I’m seeing reports in the reviews of an average visit being in the £10-£20 range – this may be if you choose one of the starter courses and a drink from the marvellously stock bar. However, if you go for an actual meal and indulge yourself from the showcase meat locker, this could easily end up in the £30-£40 bracket.

I highly recommend visiting this location – full of detail and charming personality if you are a fan of Tappino's in Cleckheaton: it’s very much somewhere which compliments that restaurant in terms of price and quality. It may not have the full expansive menu that Tappino's does but what it does deliver, it delivers in spades.

Really enjoyed our first visit to the Meat Drunkery. A lovely little bar, great atmosphere, great drinks selection and yummy food/snacks. Can’t wait to go back soon !

We didn’t eat, just had a few drinks to see in the New Year. What a lovely venue to do this in too. Fabulous friendly service - highly recommend. We’ll definitely return.

We called in for lunch today. Lots of choice on the menu. You can pick from salads to steaks. We tried the braised beef with nachos and a drunken salad and of course twice cooked chips. Food was delicious, service was excellent. Great atmosphere, will definitely be returning.

Dropped in for a little celebratory drink after my sons football training & ending up having an impromptu date night with the hubby - absolute Gem of a place. Steak absolutely AMAZING - cooked to perfection? rustic chips & a beautiful stilton sauce. Cozy elegant beautiful atmosphere, staff friendly & attentive....this is our new favorite steak place & we're lucky to have you guys in cleck ?

This place is an absolute gem. The menu is small and mighty - we had the charcuterie board and nachos, fantastic quality and the service was so welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. Wine list is brilliant, going to have to go back to work my way through it - oh dear, what a shame!! ?
