Decent pub food and good selection of drinks.

I had the Steak Pie and Chips and was very impressed with both. Excellent chips.

My wife is veggie and while there wasn't as big a selection on the Sunday menu as there would have been in the week there were still 3 or so options. In the end she went for a pasta and tomato sauce cheesy bake which was nice.

My Dad had the fish and chips which was very fresh, light crispy batter, and not at all greasy.

Not good. Sunday lunch. Ordered two large and one small roast dinner. Were served with one large and two small. Both smalls went back to the kitchen and one reappeared as a large. Overall the food was lukewarm and when one partly eaten meal was sent back for microwaving a different warmed meal was returned. Beer excellent. Big mix up on the bill as drinks we'd not had were listed, presumably from another table. Overall impression, disorganised, lack of skill and training.

Had a lovely meal here. All the food was lovely. The staff were great also, it had a real friendly atmosphere. We went on Thursday and the first round of drinks were free as long as you ordered meals off the main menu

Ogh dear !! Didn’t quite go to plan. Met for Sunday lunch with family. Tried to check before hand on menu however nothing online beforehand. Should have guessed it wasn’t quite right. Menu was just roast dinner with no starters. Highlight was waitress who didn’t know if they had Malibu available .. once prompted she went to check at the bar. It took a bit of persuasion. Again one guest asked about cask ales .. met with silence. Roast dinners had items missing .. carrots/mash potatoes although agin once prompted servers were happy to get for you. Food was lukewarm at most. Roast potatoes were quite a crunchy experience. Once asked for dessert we were only presented with one dessert menu for eight people. They had lost a few. Not a problem as I announced the dessert menu for everyone. Apple crumble and custard was delicious. Saw another table refuse their food and walk out. What a shame as a fantastic location and could be so good. Manager/Owner did reduce the bill based on experience. Suggest shut down kitchen till you can sort it out.

Food here is top class. Fantastic quality and generous portions. Service with a smile doesn't even begin to cover it. The staff are amazing. So friendly and welcoming. There's lots of seating whether you want one of the cosy snugs, the larger restaurant or a table in one of the gardens, there's something to suit everyone.

Loved it !!! We sat out side as it was a lovely day . The inside looked interesting and homely .The food was exceptional we had a ploughman's sharing boad & an Artisan board .Both were amazing there were 4 of us .Will definitely go again . Plenty of food .

I love our village pub. There’s loads of little nooks to sit in, a large dining area and plenty Joules Ales on offer. The food is great.

Very friendly bar staff. Lovely feel to the pub inside and out. Ale in excellent condition. Clean and tidy. Doggy friendly, too. Bus stop right outside. Well done Joules and team! 👍🏻
