Just off the busy A617 Mansfield - Newark road in the tranquil grounds of Hexgreave Hall and Deer Park is a little gem of a Bistro called the Old Boiler Room where we had our Friday lunch yesterday. The Manager and Head Chef Wayne was away on holiday at the time but his highly trained staff still continued to deliver the same first class service even when under pressure from so many unexpected diners who had come to enjoy an early autumn treat either on the sun terrace or like us inside.

A really lovely experience! All the staff are so friendly and welcoming and they also made a fuss of our dog Charlie. The service and food were of a very high standard. We will definitely be back to taste their yummy cakes along with their gorgeous coffees. Thank you so much!

Lovely breakfast and coffee in very comfortable surroundings - I couldn't manage all of the full English but Chef Wayne boxed up the remaining sausage and bacon for my dog!! How lovely!!
