Trying to track down old pensions from different companies is a mess!
However contacting People’s pension was far the easiest and most helpful of all the companies I’ve dealt with today.

Disgrace of a company which needs investigated and closed down!
You try to opt out and can't. They keep taking money even though you've contacted them numerous times, saying you want to opt out and have been trying online but have been unable to. One week they say they will return your money the next they refuse! From looking at the reviews online, they purposely mess people about and have been for years.
Everyone should know by now whenever an agency puts you onto a payroll company or pension company they will have the worst reviews and reputation out of them all.

I checked the reviews and realized that many people have experienced the same issue I’m currently facing.

This is, without a doubt, the worst company I’ve had to deal with in my six years in this country. I have been trying to transfer my money to Standard Life for six months.

The first attempt took them three months to respond to my email, and that only happened because I followed up multiple times. When they finally replied, they claimed they hadn’t received any documents—despite the documents being included in the email thread. I resent the documents, only for them to take another one or two months to respond, saying they couldn’t open one of the files due to its format.

I promptly resent the file in the correct format and made it clear that if the issue wasn’t resolved immediately, I would consider taking legal action. Today, I received an email stating that they attempted the transfer, but Standard Life rejected it. I now have to start the entire process over again from scratch.

This company is completely unprofessional and has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. They are effectively holding onto my money and causing unnecessary delays.

I called today to up my pension amount and they were helpful and sorted within 5 mins of being on the phone. Saying that I'm yet to see if next month more comes out of my account. I've been impressed this year with my return on the adventurous level as a personal pension.

Trying to get funds out by my experience is difficult. Now into 6 week waiting to gain access to my pension. They quote policy re waiting for confirmation of end date from employer.. I am over pension age and should be able to access my funds. I'm expecting a long delay and watching my pension pot reduce by £250 in last month. Not impressed

Product is good and simple to understand fund choice.
Service levels are not what I'd expect from a regulated company and I feel like I need to be constanty proactive to get requests actioned.
Staff are friendly and try to be helpful.
