Didn't stay in the hotel but had a few drinks and a lovely dinner in the pub. Friendly staff, good atmosphere, good selection of drinks available. A relatively small menu which I gather changes day to day, everything we had was delicious. Recommend the fish and chips 😋

Fabulous stay in a very cosy, comfy, clean room. Great location. First class breakfast and an excellent evening menu. Had dinner here twice over a three night stay and couldn't fault anything. Staff super helpful and whole team very welcoming and accommodating. Highly recommended.

This was our second time staying at this wonderful pub, staff were very welcoming and very helpful. Our Room, Room 3 was very comfortable with a great view over the small harbour and towards the sea. Very clean and the bed oh so comfortable for our 2 night stay. |As a previous review has mentioned the menu has changed the choice is limited and is rather expensive and we like them did see a lot of people opting for the Fish and Chips. I think over the new few months they may need to review this menu. ||Would I stay again, absolutely without a doubt. Such a little gem of a place. Would I eat here in the evening... probably not with the menu they currently have on offer.

A very characterful historic inn right on the harbour, and just in front of the cliff railway. Beautiful building with thatched roof. The double room with sea view was especially nice with a roll top bath. The Sunday roast was incredible and breakfast was also great.

Everything was wonderful from our arrival until our departure. A special night away for my husband's birthday. Free parking yards away,great location on the harbour,food & drink was great,the staff were very friendly and helpful . The Inn itself was very clean and had lots of character. Room was well furnished,clean with a lovely big shower. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, Highly recommend the Rising Sun Inn and we will be back . Thank you for looking after us. 😆

This is a charming old pub, with very friendly staff and excellent food. The room was clean and really comfortable. I’d highly recommend it for a stay or just a meal. There are some beautiful walks in the area and Lynmouth and Lynton are both gorgeous villages.

A chilly weekend with snow on Exmoor but inside was super warm and welcoming. Wonderfully quirky old building but our sea view room was immaculate, clean and comfortable. Food was excellent, chef very obliging. Highly recommended, we are looking forward to going back again for a repeat visit.

We decided to visit The Rising Sun again after 31 years. |It was lovely to be back to the old quaint good old fashioned pub again |All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. |The only disappointment sadly was the reduced evening menu in the restaurant. Very little options and the majority of diners all choose the same as us, fish and chips! |I think the bar needs to ensure music is playing too to provide atmosphere to the guests. |It was a lovely break and we would return
