After a long and chilly October bike ride it was such a relief to find a cosy and spotless room to fall into. There was also plenty of space to unload our gear which didn't seem to faze our hosts in any way.|The dinner on offer was hot, wholesome and plentiful and the breakfast equally good.|The bar again was spotless and properly run and stocked.|The location is great, only a few minutes stroll from the centre of Lynton (and the top of the marvellous funicular down to Lynmouth) and a lovely 15 minute walk into the stunning Valley of Rocks and the most picturesque cricket ground you ever see!

What an absolute vile owner. Cold, rude and just stairs at you constantly making you feel uncomfortable. Doesn't know to speak to customers. Very judgemental. Unless you want an uncomfortable atmosphere don't bother going here

Amazing food, amazing service, fab relaxing evening on their outdoor seating area overlooking a lovely view. Super dog friendly.
The calamari starter was deliciously crispy and moreish. We ordered the pork belly as a main, it was done to perfection, the mash was excellent and so were the vegetables. The brownie was gluten free and not too sweet so the ice cream that was with it was the perfect balance of sweetness. The sticky toffee pudding was also perfect. Definitely recommend this lovely place.

Just returned home from a lovely stay at The Sandrock in Lynton. The Sandrock is a little out of the way of the main high street but still only a 5 minute walk to the shops etc. We stayed in room 4 which was clean and well appointed, the en suite was spacious (huge infact!)and the towels really fluffy, it was also super clean and tidy. The room had lots of little extras to make it cosy and homely. The bed was really, REALLY comfy, so much so that even my partner who usually struggles when we are away said it was great, I think it was a memory foam mattress. ||||We ate at the restaurant on one of the nights and the food was great! I had the pork belly which was amazing, really big portion and reasonable prices. Also the drinks in the bar are reasonably priced for the area (Β£4 a pint!) ||Breakfast was also lovely, with cereals, fruit and pastries aswell as a cooked breakfast (also I really liked the crockery πŸ˜‚) thoroughly recommend eating here of an evening, especially as it can be quite difficult to get food in Lynton after 6pm! ||||The decor in the communal areas (mainly restaurant and bar) is a little dated, but nothing to take away from the experience and the b and b part of the building is more modern. ||||Overall a superb stay and I would definitely go back if in the area again. ||||Also there is a footpath just up the road from the b and b (next to the church yard) that isn't very well known and offers amazing views of the valley of the rocks from the top.

My wife and I ate here a week or so ago, the food is cooked by a proper chef. Well prepared and presented with a well thought out menu. Everything was home made with the chef's mum making some of the deserts.||The drinks were not expensive and the meals were reasonably priced too. We had an excellent evening staying for about 3 hours. We never felt rushed or forgotten.||Thank you for a great night, we would definately recommend this place to eat. We were staying down the road so do not know what the B&B side is like.

Very poor service that has just gone so downhill over the years. Saw in another review the owners response regarding someone ordering tap water practically shaming them into buying drinks to support them which felt very uncomfortable and just serves as another example of the poor service here. The food is nice but not nice enough to warrant a visit back when the owners act as if you've just broken into their home whenever you visit.
