Horrendous place to unload. Scruffy long hair bloke in the office is full of self importance. Very slow to unload just 1 pallet. Arrived at gatehouse 20mins after booking time,No other lorry on bays. Avoid.

Right then so I have read all the reviews and think ill let people un on a little secret and provide some information about Norish. Some say they wait 3 to 4 hours to get unloaded or loaded and all bays are empty. Now let's start by asking do u have a booking? Awnser will be NO. Where u late if u had a booking? YES. So if it was the other way round would u like us to unload one thats late before u seeing u are on time 🤔? NO. So its simple have a reference and be on time.
Now why are the bays empty? Cause we have to prepare your load for despatch. This involves picking and booking out pallets ready for loading so when we call you to the bay we load u and u go. Pallets don't just walk out by themselves, boxes don't jump from one to the other with a push off a button.
Then we have the issue off people standing on their phones wonder how this possible let's think for a min.......Oh yes cause everything is done by phone and computers so without a selected few being on their phone u will not have a booking as thats how people communicate with other people especially when drivers don't know their ref number or someone wants to make a booking. And as one comment said people are on break when they are sitting there. We seldom take a break and when we do it is for 10 min if that to warm up after picking orders in -22 temp. Of we don't take a break we will end up on the pallets as meat.
In short be patient and have all your documents ready and most important have a reference number. If u do that u will be done ✔ on your time. If u turn up 2 hours earlier chances are u will be done if possible before hand but if not on time. First time visitors most off the time dont know how it works and when u try explaining they dont speak English, this really dont help so please think twice when u visit and dont know whats happening before running to goggle and talk about stuff u don't know about. Next time u have been waiting for two hours and want to know why feel free to approach the staff and ask the question.

Been sitting now 1.50 hrs to unload after being asked to get the 12 pallets as a rush urgent job . Will not do a rush job for this company as found out it has been passed to 3 other companies and I see why now . My experience is poor sorry but as it's a job and it could be done better . You staff sitting in his pick up and w/staff just walking around .all bays for unloading are empty but being made to wait

Sitting from 1 hr to unload 2 pallets. Very slow. 1 to 3 hrs are normally to unload even more. Although you have aponitment and reached on correct time. But you have to wait wait
