Went in looking for something that we could use to retrieve a hat that had fallen down a cliff, and the helpful people on shift recommended some steel wire. An hour later, and some fancy bending of the wire, the hat had been reclaimed!

On my visit to toolstation torquay today, I couldn't find the product I wanted in the catalogue. When the manager Steven helped me. He was so pleasant and helpful. And I got what I needed thank you to Steven and the team.

Ok and as a tradesman I pretty much know what I need so no problems there, and I pretty much get everything I needed from this branch and many other toolstations (favour toolstation of the competition). I do use alot of toolstations around the country, and I wouldn’t usually write a review. However, the majority of staff at this branch are just 'one tone', come on at least crack a smile or a bit of chitchat with customers rather than the odd near silent robotic word.

I was charged twice for something which yes we all make errors, and I brought this up with the staff member to which a refund was issued.....but for customer care sake, all I got was tap tap tap on the keyboard, no apology or anything just a very quiet shy bye when I was handed my receipt back and that was after
I said my 'thanks for your help, bye'. Is about three staff in this store that need to perk up a bit....please please please.

I did have another issue as someone else has mentioned, and that’s I had something ordered to this store for a collection. Yet I never received an email or text to say it had arrived? apparently it had been sat on the shelf for two days?.

And yes, do not even try and ring customer service as they don’t exist. Even the staff are not allowed to call them, and have to use the same number as customers.... baffles me.

Brilliant service for even a small item. Basin plug and chain ordered on line to click and collect, within the hour they phoned to say they couldn't locate the stock but would order another and deliver it the next morning. There was no extra charge and the item was delivered as promised. I'm sure it must have cost them more than the item cost me so how can you fault service like that.
