I have always found this surgery to be very good. When completing a request online, I have always received a respond the same day to both new and existing issues. Prescription requests have always been processed in a timely manner. And when I’ve visited in-person, the appointment has never been more than 15 minutes behind schedule. not often i visit the doctors but had some health concerns so made an appointment for 20th march this year at 11am. Iwas eventually called at 11.35. Explained my symptom to dr stoddart and he gave me an urgent referral for a brain scan saying he had to rule out a tumour. During the following night my headaches became more intense so i requested a fast track for the scan. I recieved a call from one of townsides reception staff by the name of Ben. He went through the process and told me that every hospital in greater manchester had been sent an e mail requesting an mri scan and that i would be contacted when a suitable appointment came up. On thursday march28th i recieved a call telling me i would be getting a call on saturday march30th from a consultant to do a consultation over the phone and decide if a scan is needed Ive now spent 10 day waiting for an urgent scan to be told that the whole process is going to start again. its plain from whats already gone on that both dr stoddart and at least one of his reception staff are at best incompetent and at worst accomplished liars. will now be seeking legal advice.

Easily the worst GP surgery I have ever experienced. Can’t get through on the phone and when you do, they tell you (very rudely) to book an appointment via My GP app. When you try this, they close your ticket down without a phone call or any contact. Then, when you ring to tell them what’s happened, they snappily reply with “well there’s no doctors in so that’s why it’s been closed”, and the receptionist begin asking questions they’re not qualified to ask. Basically absolutely useless and negligent. Will be making a formal complaint.

You can never get someone on the phone and its always the chemist fault for your mess up with your medication.
My medication is for life i need it every day so poor and they just hid behind this covid issue so they can take it easy in the office

I find the attitude of certain reception staff to be offhand, unhelpful and dismissive towards patients such as myself. I had quite an unpleasant experience this morning, when trying to enquire about a doctor's appointment.

This is probably the worst gp service in Bury. 2.5 stars does not do it justice. I have received abysmal health care since I've been here past 3 years. Everything you have is played down or not followed up. Receptionists can't even give you the correct numbers for referrals. Avoid this place.

Rang at 8 10am for appointment for my grandson,its now 16 42 PM and still waiting for doctor to get back.to me. I've rang couple of times during the day to ask when doctor would be ringing receptionist said couldn't give me a time.. Absolutely disgusting service

Had my first appointment here this morning as a new patient just moving into the area.
What a lovely practice with all the staff being so friendly.
