You can only visit this place by guided tour. We only did part of the tour as we got called away. The tour guide had a wealth of knowledge and explained it so well. The place was full of history and was very well maintained.
There is plenty of parking around the local streets. No toilet here.

What a wonderful small gem. There are four small elements to this NT property, the main hall, a small hall from around the 1300 that is quite plain but beautiful. The small garden outside where you can see the outside of the building and work out some of the changes, along with a covered well. A kitchen room that is dark and damp and then the upstairs Solar room that has the remaining parts of a 1260 ISH wall painting, the icing on the visit. You must wait for the guide to show you to the solar room. Please note there is no toilets, no cafe and you can only see parts of the buildings hence the ÂŖ4 entrance fee for non members.

Such a small house with a massive history. Our guide was unimaginably knowledgeable about place. So much history in each room. Well worth a visit. If you use Google maps to get there, don't just type in your destination and hit go. It took me down a tiny lane and told me my destination was on the left. A big farm field! The house itself was half a mile away on the main road. Touch the pin on the map before you select start.

Fascinating little historical gem. While Architecturally rich, what I loved most were the insights that the two guides provided about how society worked in 'olden times'. Parking can be a bit dodgy, on a busy road.

I small place to visit but nonetheless interesting. I suggest you combine it with a visit to the house at Mucheney and the priory at stoke-sub-Hamdon all of which are interesting in there own rights but are quick to get around. They're all close so doable.

Such a lovely visit to this charming property. The custodians extended a very warm welcome to us and are clearly very knowledgeable about their home. We came away with big smiles on our faces!

Interesting history to this place. Only open 2-5 Sunday and Monday.
Hint - do not follow the postcode on the NT app!
It's in the village opposite the church.

Great history here. I personally know the people who run it in their free time and their very friendly and hospitable people. Highly recommend visiting if you're in the area.
