My family has been frequenting this butcher for many many years and the quality of meats are second to none. Most recently we had the burger patties and it was prepared to perfection. Whenever it is BBQ night, we never fail to call on Lindsay & Sons.

Fabulous!!!!! This one word covers everything from the service, to the quality of the meat and the sheer choice of produce. My absolute very favourite Butchers. And THE place to go for proper Cumberland Sausage!!!!! It truly is a fantastic shop as is the deli next door. If I could give more than 5 stars I would ....... highly highly recommended for all carnivores!!

My family have been using Lindsay's for years, for all our meat. The quality is excellent and locally sourced. They have an excellent range of products and the Customer Service is fantastic. If you live locally or are on holiday self catering, drop in for your meat supplies, you won't be disappointed. A little tip, their Cumberland Sausage it's the best for miles, you won't find better.

Superb local butcher. Great quality products all round. The stir fry is very tasty and made with decent cuts of meat.
You can get exactly the cuts of meat you require as well.
The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I can't recommended this butcher highly enough!

Excellent local sourced meat at good prices. The display in the shop is so enticing if you're a meat lover. I personally love the Galloway rib eye steaks and the lamb chump chops.

If you see it on the counter its good. Today I experienced the dirtiest shop service trick in the book. The old undercounter switcheroo. I order 3 t-bone steaks based on the amazing joint in the shop window. The joint was taken into the back of the shop, a considerable time later out came the 3 steaks, stacked, so I could only see the top one. I asked the price, almost £50, at which i ummed a little saying the bottom one looks too big. He offered to trim, but as he separated the stack it was so blatantly obvious the rwo bottom steaks were NOT from the same cut of meat, though the server insisted they were. Massively different is not an understatement. Very poor dirty tricks, and sadly it not the first time they have pulled this stunt. If it goes into the back for "prep" rather than cut in front of you, then trpple check everything you're getting. Shame on you whoever in the back room decided to do this. If i could take legal action I would.. We holiday in Cockermouth every year for the last 15, have spent hundreds of pounds on steaks to take home, never again. Shame on all staff involved.
