After doing Gunton Hall previously with Warners, thought we'd try something a little closer to home. The two stars is basically marked on the "dance" aspect which is frankly the main reason we pick the Warners 'gold' breaks.||These are advertised as dance breaks for a reason, you expect to be able to do dancing be it ballroom, latin and or sequence. We did a four-night mid-week gold break, from a dancing perspective it was very disappointing, and we won’t be going back to Bembridge. The floor space was basically way too small and then half occupied by the stage extension which didn't get retracted.||The rating on this review is very specifically aimed at the dancing aspect of the venue. Ballroom dancing on a floor smaller than a badminton court just doesn't work, even if you are the only couple on the floor, you'll find yourself as a leader constantly preparing for the next turn. It got to the point where I would cut corner to corner on the square so that I could do more than a few steps.||My wife and I couldn't do a basic Foxtrot feather, natural and reverse turn with a three step along the longest side of the floor unless we compacted each step to a shuffle. Latin dances with 4-5 couples on the floor got tricky.||The daily activities only included two dance sessions. We understand Warners may not have tutors and dance teachers available to teach us a new amazing dance step but at least make the floor available for people to do social dancing. An hour and half tea dance style session a day of request based music is better than nothing. We tend to find there are always couples around be they ballroom/latin or sequence based interested in dancing and more than happy to share and mix it up.||If you are only looking for sequence dancing, then the space may work for you although there still wasn't much time made available.||The rest of it was normal Warners practice and as you would expect if you've done a Warners break before. Food is plentiful and enough options to choose from you tend go home heavier than you left, you don’t expect fine dining for the price but is it overall good food. Chefs and waiters appear to put in the effort to deliver. Staff in general are helpful and attentive, daily activities as per normal with archery, air rifles and such are all good fun.||The evening entertainment here was a little limited on the dancing again, and then shifted to a mix of band and entertainers doing there thing. This side varies as you would expect from place to place, sometimes you get a great singer, some a great band.||All round we quite like getting away with the family and Warners breaks are fun but we don't want to be sold "dance" breaks for a place that can't deliver based on the facilities.

Had a great three day break here.
Lovely hotel with great grounds.
Food was good and plentiful with lots of choices.
Entertainment was fabulous. A comedian on the first night and a tribute band (Re-Take That) on the second. Night number three was the in-house company, and they were amazing!! Such voices! Great choreography and a very
slick performance. Best we've seen at any Warner's.

We enjoyed our stay of 4 nights here. Our waiter Bart went above and beyond for us. The food was very good. One night it was raining and the water was coming through the roof and dripping onto our table. The managers solution was to pull our tables apart and to drip on the floor. The roof needs repairing. The beds are comfortable and staff are friendly.

We had not been to Bembridge before & were apprehensive after reading some reviews, but were not disappointed, the grounds are well kept & very tidy, the sea views of the solent across to Portsmouth are lovely.|All the staff we encountered were very friendly, helpful & pleasant. |The corridor carpets were being replaced but plenty of signage about times of closures caused very little disruption, apart from the guests who choose to ignore them!|The dining experience was very good with a varied menu. I think maybe that some guests choose to ignore their allocated dining times which put pressure on the waiting staff & chefs trying to keep serving trays filled with food.|We tried all the daytime activities which were fun to do, quizzes were well run & evening entertainment was of a very good standard. |A great 4 days & would love to return one day. Thank you all.

The food was excellent with several choices. The room was clean and very comfortable. Swimming pool was open and there were some activities that were available for us to do. We have been to this hotel several times and would recommend it. The staff were all very helpful, friendly and polite.

Isle of Wight three nights, four days, Warners Bembridge Coast Resort. We booked a ground floor room with sea view (no 22), overall room good size with fridge, comfortable bed, ironing board, safe, tea & coffee making facilities also small carton of milk supplied along with snacks, bottled water and flavoured drinks. The room and shower/toilet were not great on the cleanliness front and the bedroom lounge area had too much furniture in it making it feel crowded. Meals were taken in the restaurant, buffet and meals cooked to order from the kitchen, selection of food was really very good but disappointingly the buffet food was more often than not lukewarm at best. Bar service was good as well service, food & coffee from the coffee nest. The facilities are very good and seemingly well run although we never participated ourselves. The entertainment was amazing and well supported in a extremely nice theatre, finally the staff are also very good and most are cheerful and extremely helpful, a special mention to the young lad Nathan, who was our waiter for our stay, he was new and things didn’t always run smoothly for him to say the least but throughout he never stopped smiling and was always polite and did his best despite all the complaints, he was a credit to the team. Overall we were impressed with the resort but it is tired in places and needs refurbishing quicker than at present, also drink prices are ridiculously high which does need urgent attention, come on Warners just a few tweaks could make it all so much better.

Firstly, the positive - this is a lovely hotel. The location is truly amazing, rooms are large & comfortable, the staff are very friendly & helpful, the food is excellent and the entertainment is always good. We have been many times and it never disappoints.|Just one negative point - we met a couple who were in their 90's, who come to Warner hotels very regularly - this was their 3rd week this year. They still like to dance, so prefer to sit next to the dance floor in the evening. They told us that on this visit, on both Friday 4th and Saturday 5th October, they could not sit next to the dance floor as all the tables had been reserved for people who had paid for the VIP experience. This seems very unfair to regular Warner customers, particularly those of advanced age. Surely it should be possible to include a reserved table for such loyal customers?

My wife and i visited Bembridge Warner, I of W, 8 days ago. Our 2nd Warner hol this year. One of many in the last 20 years. It confirmed our recent experience that the new Owners have a had a very negative effect upon enjoyment of Warner Hotels. Waiting and cleaning staff are run off their feet, due to reduced staffing. The junior staff work flat out, the next level apologise and Management do as the new owners instruct. The new emphasis is upon coach loads, many coach loads! Hence huge delays in serving meals to individual clients.|Examples - our simple but essential dietary requirement, tho' recorded in print at every level (Warner HQ to hotel reception) was not passed onto 'Housekeeping' - just as happened to us this year at Synah Warren. The shower tray in our Signature room had mould around it, the shower drain cover slid across the tray as it was the incorrect one - very dangerous. The bed head was torn significantly. No decaff tea initially. On one occasion we in the 'restaurant' waited 1.25 hours from ordering our main course (at table) and 40 mins for our drinks. Thereafter the waiting times were still significant. The kitchen and waiting staff were overwhelmed.|Amazingly, all Warner Hotels now have a policy that no net curtains are provided for 1st floor bedrooms- so no daytime privacy. The final straw was, on leaving. our final paper bill (you have to ask for this as otherwise they only email it to you!) - they had added someone else's expensive drinks!! By chance, I met the General Manager (Mr.HM), who saw our frustration at the poor Warner's lowered standards and said he would check and ring us. In the absence of his promised call, we left our home tel. no. for him to contact us - he hasn't. The 2* review is because all the junior staff were pleasant, but run off their feet, they confirmed our complaints and the actual understaffing. Otherwise it would be one *.
