We had a lovely stay at water meadows. Communication was brilliant all the way from enquiries to turning up. ||We enjoyed the hot tub, and our dog Lila loved the Little treats too. The children enjoyed the bag of sweets and biscuits that were left aswell. ||Really appreciated the milk and tea/coffee/sugar .||Loved the fact that there were books and games available to use. ||Lots of local walks and information available which we found useful. ||Was a great base for exploring Dorset. Have already recommended to others and will definitely continue to recommend.||Although we usually never go back to a place twice, ( just because we like to go different places) we would definitely consider returning to water meadows.

An absolutely lovely cottage, which we went to with our two Greyhounds. Walkable to local pub & shops. Wasn’t going to use the hot tub, but used it every evening. Kitchen was small, but wasn’t required to be any bigger for us, but enough room to cook meals if you want to. Back and front garden for dogs. Chalk & cheese pub has good food & dogs are allowed inside. Also petrol station has a large shop..

My partner and I stayed in The Old Coach House (next door to Water Meadows) and had the most enjoyable stay. The cottage was immaculate and finished to a high standard and considering it's dog friendly you would never know a dog had ever set foot in there. Beautiful area which we had never been before, could have carried on walking for days. For our Australian dog Sallys first holiday since returning to the UK with us... She had a blast and was very comfortable in the cottage thanks to the dog basket with bed, toys and treats too. ||||Will be returning in the future and will recommend every time

Stayed here again for a relaxing weekend. Lovely cottage in a quiet location with excellent amenities. The hot tub is a added luxury but so appreciated. The cottage has lots of lovely touches with a great deal of thought of the owners. |They are in hand or easy to get hold of if required. Bedrooms have lovely comfortable beds with a good standard of bedding.|Local amenities within a little walk and ideally located for trips to the beach. Will certainly come back in the future

Stayed at the coach house with our three dogs for a long weekend and had a great time.||The cottage was very clean and really nicely furnished with a huge and very comfortable bed! The shower cubicle is small but the shower was hot and powerful, just something to be aware of if you're tall!||The dogs really enjoyed their treats and it was great to go somewhere that was a bit more relaxed about dogs being there and not insist that they are never left unaccompanied. When you have three dogs it's nice to go out for dinner and leave them behind, which we could do here!||A couple of things, the cottage was extremely clean but the smell of polish when we arrived was unbelievably strong, it took two days, a scented candle, and leaving windows open to get rid of the smell which was so overpowering it gave us headaches! Could also do with bigger and better towels. The hot tub was excellent but is separate to the garden. The garden bit for the dogs is upstairs or you can go outside and up some steps but could be tricky for bigger dogs or ones that aren't great with steps. I think the other cottage has a flat garden and hot tub all together.||The cottage was great value for money and a fantastic base for the weekend - try the southwest coastal path walk at abbotsbury, take the dogs to hive beach, and have a roast at the greyhound. ||Thanks for a lovely weekend and I'm sure we will be back!

Lovely cottage in a very peaceful and tranquil area. Great base for getting around Dorset. Karen & Mark were very welcoming and always helpful. Bruno (our dog) especially loved his cuddles and treats! The cottage itself was just like a home from home with everything at hand. We especially enjoyed the hot tub. Only a small village but everyone we met was very friendly and the local pub allows dogs too. Have already recommended to friends and family!

Five of us plus Nell the dog stayed here over Easter. Accommodation is modern, well fitted and comfortable. It's a great little village, friendly pub, and good walks on the doorstep. The hot tub is a nice bonus and we can imagine really wonderful in the summer. We'll definitely go back again.

Easy to say it - simply awesome! We stayed in the cottage in the summer, at the same time as my parents (with three dogs) stayed in the Old Coach House. Simply put, one of the finest holidays we have had. The accommodation was second to none -clean, well appointed and like home from home. ||Some people have moaned about minor things (shower not being powerful enough, kitchen being too small) - oh please, get over yourselves! The shower WAS more than adequate; the kitchen, despite being small, was more than adequate to cook a Sunday roast for SIX healthy appetites. Six people and three dogs were more than happy with the compete package! I would (and have) recommend this to any family, with or without dogs, to stay at during a visit to Dorset. We will definitely be visiting again and I would defy anyone to not feel the same way!
