Have just started going here, been a few times now, and my Parents always swear by the meats. It a scrupulous clean place which is number 1 thing in my book. I've seen criticism in these reviews for bloody chicken etc, surely that's down to how you cook them and not the fault of the butcher? The meats we tried have been a winner and they also supply other local produce such as oatcakes, products from Bengrys bakery and a much wider selection of wright's pies and cakes than you would get in their own pie shops and cheaper.

My first and last visit ti Wayne Walker. One star for the good meat selection and another star for having a lovely lady at the check outs.
I was made to feel extremely uncomfortable by the creepy security man. I could not wait to leave the shop. I was was followed around and made feel as if I was there to steal. Security only stopped following me around and walked away when I turned around and looked at them. Presumably he realised 5ft tall woman is hardly capable of shoving anything in the pockets she has not got in the trousers she’s wearing.
If this wasn’t a shop and I was followed around and looked at the way I was, I would definitely feel unsafe.
Will not be returning, nor recommending this place… if you’re a female, definitely don’t visit.

Superb, really well stocked, excellent quality and really good prices. Highly recommend. The staff are also super helpful.
The car park is a little akward but that needn't put anyone off.

Staff brilliant, but the security guard kept following us around the same with my mum. we understand he's doing his job, but to just target certain people, it's not nice when you're walking around and wearing a long cardigan, and he's coming behind you checking if you have hidden anything behind it. It's not a nice feeling being followed....REPLY to your reply yes i fully understand that but when he is just focused on following certain people and not actully walking around and out of as many people were in there on saturday why us even after spending over £100.00 with you my partner has a good job we have money no need to follow just us its daft not only that if i was going to theive things i wouldnt get a trolly id bring a backpack

Blood was literally bubbling out of the chicken when it was being cooked (don't know how to post the video). Non of it was edible! This isn't the first time it's happened and has also happened with other meat products. Fed up of giving them the benefit of the doubt. Seems cheap but marketed as good, fresh value. A con! Won't be going again.

Just went in to get a few drinks. The lady who was severing on the till was not pleasant at all. I said hello and ask if she was ok she blanked me. She put my items through amd left them near the scanner. I had to reach over and get them. She also just threw my receipt on the counter. This was closer to me than my items. It was a tallish woman with black hair.
I get that people have bad days. No need to treat other people this way. Safe to say I won't be going back anytime soon
