I just love Westermill, been many times and can’t wait to visit again. The cottages are just beautiful, set in a paddock with trees and a brook running through one of them. Oliver and Jill are so friendly and welcoming. Very chilled and always ready to help if needed. I’m massively into bird watching and photography so spending time here is just perfect for me. This most recent visit was incredible with all the bird song, we hear the Tawny owl at night and for star gazing it’s just awesome - I could go on writing lovely things about Westermill. ❤️

Lovely stay! We arrived after dark in October, navigating a network of narrow, winding country lanes, which added to the anticipation. We woke up to beautiful scenery surrounding a peaceful and natural campsite. The showers were hot, and the wash-up facilities were good. Would recommend!

Stayed here in the last week of the summer holidays. A truly amazing experience and so nice to be able to detox from screens!! Stayed in field 4 so that we could have a campfire, certainly recommended for the full experience. Facilities are great and option of a family room for those that need it. Grounds are immaculate and great fun can be had in the stream by children. Hosts are amazing and so friendly along with the other campers. Would recommend to others looking for a quiet, back to nature getaway!

We had a great stay for 2 nights at Westermill Farm. The owner Oliver is so welcoming and lovely. We instantly felt at peace as the camping site is huge and so calm - you can only hear nature! We definitely recommend this camping site!!

Great location for overland 4x4 folk with options for an off-grid experience too. Don’t be too put off by the booking form (could be much shorter), the reception is warm (figuratively and literally). Will return.

Where time stands still, conservation at its best, Bees, butterfly’s and bats, numerous different bird species swoop and sing, the Kingfisher darts with a blue flash along the river, fluffy clouds and wonderfully starlit skys, tadpoles swimming on the river edge in spring, huge dragonfly’s dashing about, deer can be seen up high in the valley, Wildlife flora and fauna abounds, nature feels safe here. Comfortable cosy Scandinavian log cabins to snuggle down with a good book, toastie warm in winter served by very effective biomass and your log burner, or camp in one of several large fields alongside the river, with great toilet/shower blocks. We have been coming sometimes twice a year for 26 years bringing our generations of family over the years, nothing has been spoilt only improved, off grid and a David Bellamy conservation award winner, with delightful family run owners, they are always there for you if needed, but never intrusive. A truly magical place to recharge the batteries and catch your breath.

Absolutely beautiful location for wild camping. Very close to Exmoor. We have camped here 3 times in less than a year, and will still continue to come back to camp. Very good facilities at the campsite & friendly staff. I have also stayed in a log cabin at Westermill Farm last year (Gorse ) and it was very cosy with the log burner, and good facilities inside. Only downfall was there are only single beds in all 3 bedrooms.

Fantastic campsite! Up there with the best in the UK for the wild camping experience. Field four, campfires allowed, right next to the river exe allowing for clean water from springs if ya wanna go that route! Backs directly onto some amazing walking routes as well!

The facilities are top notch, always clean and tidy, always have warm water, drinking water, waste disposal, chemical disposable and more.

Jill, Oliver and the rest of the westermill family are amazing hosts, wonderfully friendly people and run one of the best campsites in the UK.

See you again this summer!
