Great selection of meat inc, goat. Phoned to check they had in stock and meat was diced and good to go an hr later. Great service.

I went mainly to buy fruit and veg from The Village Veg Co which is in the same building as the butchers. Very good selection and always good quality. I also bought meat from Wicks Farm counter, also a good selection there. They also sell eggs, other groceries, and there is also a choice of frozen meats and pies and also a chiller with cheese etc. Plenty of parking outside. Face masks must be worn inside

I have been buying meat from wick farm for around two years, in the last 6 months or so I have notice the quality of meat has been going downhill, I bought a shoulder of lamb and when I went home and opened the bag, the lamb had a greenish tinge to it and smelt so bad, I rang the farm and explained that the lamb smelt, the bloke on the phone was rude and made out I was lying. My husband took the meat back and the same bloke was very rude to my husband and told him the lamb didn’t smell and what did my husband want in an aggressive manner. I will not be shopping from there again, poor quality meat and rude staff.

I bought £40 of rump steak and cooked it professionally at 52 c for rare and another steak at 60 c for medium , approximately 2 minutes each side and let it rest . I also tested the temperature with a professional thermometer and it was tough as old boots , Embarrassing to serve up for a family reunion dinner party
I will not buy anything else from this butcher
Meat in Aldis is far superior but
the best local butcher is Perrins in Parr Drive Colchester they are consistently excellent and steak is totally amazing,
very disappointed I won’t return to Wick Farm waste of time and money

Ordered from here a couple times, nice selection of meat and pastries from their website. I'd give it a 5 instead of 4, but I have to be honest, the last time I ordered from here I bought a bunch of ribeyes and they had a very strange aftertaste, very offputting. Aside from that, delivery was prompt and friendly, most of the other times that I've ordered from here have been positive though, overall.

Been coming for years now.
Meats are always amazing. There is a selection of vegetables and some frozen bits too, duck and chicken eggs are available
The staff and owners are lovely.
I would say this is one of the best butchers in Essex

Was a happy customer here for years, until my last order was delivered. I put it straight in the freezer. When I went to use the sirloin steak, it wasn't sirloin at all - looked like a couple of bits of braising steak! I sent an email complaining about it, but they didn't even have the decency to reply. So much for caring for their customers, or was it that they already knew they had given me the wrong steak, sent something that was half the price. Well, they have lost a customer! I certainly won't be ordering again, nor will my daughter.

This is a real and genuinely proper butcher onsite at their farm where they rear their own cattle and sheep and goats. It is a family business. Everything sold is of excellent quality.
