I needed a water tank frame to house a 500L tank in a van used for window cleaning. It needed to be strong enough to hold a full tank in position within the vehicle in the event of a crash.

After researching the market for a suitable frame I realised the cheaper frames would not be up to the task and did not look strong enough to cope in the event of an accident. There were some other frames which did appear to be strong and well made, but they were expensive for what they were. I was about to buy one when I noticed an advertisement for Wiles Fabrications in Boston, Lincolnshire. They were offering to make bespoke frames for window cleaning tanks. After seeing a picture of one they had already made for another customer, I decided to call to discuss our requirements.

I spoke to Andrew Wiles, the director of Wiles Fabrications, and found him to be very professional. He was able to make useful suggestions and was pleased to undertake a new frame build incorporating additional brackets and plates for accessories (such as pump, pump controller and resin barrel) to the frame. The work took a few days to complete and when I collected the frame I was very impressed by the quality of construction. In my opinion, the frame was over-engineered for its purpose and I am satisfied that it would be extremely robust in the event of a crash.

Apart from the quality engineering and workmanship, the cost of the frame was about half that of other quality ready-made frames on the market, but totally bespoke and exactly as discussed. I thoroughly recommend Wiles Fabrications for metal fabrication work and wish to thank Andrew Wiles again for a top job.
