Recommend this company 100% . From the minute I made the enquiry to my double drive gates getting fitted the communication was spot on. I am thrilled with the finished product . I had cheaper quotes but I went by reviews and the minute I met Matt & Kate my mind was made up. If you need gates of any sort contact these guys.

We wanted a new modern side gate fitting and saw some examples of steel / composite online. I came across Wrought in the Port by chance and dropped them a message. Kate and Matt couldn’t have done anymore to help and provide an accurate ‘rough’ quote to me before I confirmed details.

The price was very competitive compared to other companies, but the customer service excellent from start to finish.

Would highly recommend anybody to get in touch with this small family business and support local.

Matt and Kate were there to save the day - the BIG day, for me and my fiancé. For context, we'd forged a cake-cutting sword with a blacksmith but left with a bit of a dull feeling and a bit of a dull blade. In comes Matt and Kate at Wrought in the Port. They took a look at the sword, heard our thoughts and gave us an action plan we were very happy with. The edge needed sharpening, the fuller needed polishing, the cross-guard needed to be welded into place with a tacky top coat removed, the rose needed to be moved closer to the cross-guard and - finally - the pommel needed to be sharpened. Not only were they incredibly helpful, but they restored our sword in under a day without breaking the bank. As a side note, during drop-off and pick-up, I nosied at their handy-work and - can safely say - these guys are very talented fabricators; and, no matter whether it's for personal, home, or business use, I will wholeheartedly endorse their services.

Wrought in the Port did an amazing job of tying in some existing wrought iron work to complete railing and gate at the front of my house. Fantastic match and join up. Love the leaf handle they did on the gate latch which was a great bonus surprise.
Now i just need to figure where I need more wrought iron work!

We have recently had a garden gate fitted and are so pleased. We ordered the gate some weeks ago and asked if it could be fitted by the beginning of April as we had our family with a 3 year old granddaughter coming to stay and needed the gate for her safety. Kate assured me that she would do her very best. Kate e-mailed me on 1st April and said that the gate was due in that afternoon and Matt would fit it as soon as possible. Half an hour later he arrived to fit the gate. What an amazing service. The gate looks lovely and was reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend this company. Thank you so much.

I highly recommend this Company! I was let down by a previous Company and so Kate and Matt stepped in, gave me a great price, kept me updated with progress and then came to fit on a Sunday as first day in days without heavy rain. They even changed the design so the railings looked so much better than they would have previously. I’ve had lots of compliments on how lovely the railings and gate look. I’m so so happy with their work and Customer Service from start to finish. Thank you!
