This was a cool opportunity to get to the top of a windmill and visit all the floors. Access between floors is by steep, original, ladder stairs; some are quite tight. There are little information points hanging from the chain on each floor, plus other little boards. The windmill needs a little tlc, so hopefully that is in hand. Used the associated car park for the little shopping arcade and visited the cafe here too. Nice bit of history. Only the ground floor is disabled accessible.

Access to top floor is available, no guide, but lots of information boards.
Take care on steep narrow ladders, comd down them backwards for safety.
Views are worth the climb.
Lots of shops, a woodland walk, kids play area and a tearoom beside the windmill.

Wonderful place with interesting little boutiques, flowers, home ware and dog treats. Great cafe and small forest walk with hand made willow animal sculptures. Both us and the dog enjoyed the visit.

Heard about this place due to a bike meet and so glad I visited. Had a lovely breakfast in the dog friendly cafe and then looked around the shops. This place is perfect for families as there is a playground and seating outside, perfect for a picnic with the children or a cuppa and cake from the cafe.

I cycled out to the windmill early Sunday morning. I sat at 1 of the picnic tables having a flask of tea at about 06.40. I'm assuming that it's OK to enter the grounds that early as there is a public footpath that cuts through. It is a beautiful place to sit down and rest for a short while. Although I can't comment on the facilities as I was there too early. I do hope that no one would object to me doing this as I didn't actually see anyone.

Fantastic cafe, with excellent food, could not fault it.

Unfortunately the play area is totally unsuitable for small children.
Every single one of the ride on toys is broken with sharp edges or parts missing and just need to be binned, the play 'bark' seems to be shredded tyres and stains clothing and shoes and is full of plants, the ground is also very uneven with lots of trip hazards and a hidden step. The older play equipment isn't in great condition either. There is a lovely park in the village, but it's a shame that the equipment at the windmill is so unsafe.

The woodland walk is lovely but a bit overgrown with nettles
