Frustrating experience. When my order arrived it was poor quality and broke in several places during assembly. Xometry offered a refund, which I accepted, however received various excuses about delays in getting this, including weird internal processes between them and their marketplace supplier (nothing to do with me or my transaction), the creation of a credit note a month after my order, I'm still out of pocket. UK consumer law requires a refund within 28 days of the original order, and I'm now at 5 weeks. Will never use again.

If you're a small maker, or business of any size, but without an internal machining capability then Xometry are the way ahead. The online quotation system, backed up by actual real people is second to none. Great attention to detail is shown for individual parts and the parts are turned around in a reasonable time. I'll be using them again.

First problem; there were lots of invoicing issues but that was due to the newly set-up UK version of this company. Nothing more than frustrating and will probably be fixed soon.

The bigger issue is that I ordered parts which were a key part of a project I'm working on. I was expecting delivery on 20th January. On the 24th January I was told that a critical surface (0.8 surface finish on drawing) had deep scratches. I was offered about 25% discount or an average of 3 weeks (+ delivery from europe) for new parts.

They promised to get back to me ASAP to find a better option than 3 weeks but I've not heard anything a week later.

Sometimes things go wrong. In this case, there's not a single thing that's gone right with this order. Avoid.

Edit - following response from owner; "responded and solved your case". What this actually means is that they said sorry and agreed to refund me. After 3 months we're still waiting for a refund which, as with everything else from this company, has failed to appear.
