Quality of the tweed exceeds expectations. Great value for the price.

I have noticed other reviews mention the long wait time. I received my order in a little under three weeks.

It would appear Yorkshire Fabric is not a fabric retailer but rather an agent working with mills throughout the UK the deliver made to order fabrics.

Probably best to order from this company when you have no scheduled projects and are simply seeking surplus cloth. But once the fabric arrives, it is sure to inspire some designs.

As someone else wrote here it's either the world's worst customer service or it's a scam.
I had to go through PayPal (lucky I payed through them!), starting the refund process before they even sent the package out. No reply back from the emails I sent them, nothing.
I'm a small business and do this on the side. I'm dependent on getting everything from out of country, I've had better service from shops halfway across the world and with a language barrier where Google translate have been needed every step of the way.

Update:
As expected the package arrived so late that I won't be able to finish the project in time and had to let a customer down. It should be noted that I always order things from the UK with 2-3 weeks extra on top of their estimated shipping time because I know from experience that it just takes more time to arrive.

I order fabric to make a jacket, got it almost finished and didn’t have enough for the collar ( not working from a pattern) I order some more but it was a different dye lot/ weight and I contacted they, they found the right fabric and posted it out, it’s a perfect match.

Horrible customer service. I would not recommend. Placed my order (UK delivery address) on the first day of the month, and after almost three weeks, I still have not received any update regarding the status of my order - much less the order itself. Worse, all my emails to their customer service have been ignored. There is no other way to characterize this than a scam.

Contrary to the reviews here, I have a great experience, I have ordered a fabric and received it shipped by DHL all the way to Czech republic in less than a week from my order. Thank you so much. The quality of the fabric is just amazing.

Please, don't buy from this company! I usually wouldn't bother writing a review but I am fairly certain this company is a scam and if not, they do, in the very least, have the worst customer service of any business I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. The story: I was looking for a wool fabric for a dress and 'Yorkshire Fabrics' came highly recommended on a reddit fashion forum. Unfortunately, I realized too late there are two Yorkshire Fabrics: 'Yorkshire Fabric Limited' and 'Yorkshire Fabric Store' and mistakenly ordered from the former, ( a grave mistake, indeed). I put in my order at the end of December and was told when I paid that I would receive a text and/or email when my order had been shipped. As a seasoned international buyer I was prepared to wait a quite a while for my order to arrive as such orders often get stuck in customs but nearly a month and a half passed and I hadn't even received any confirmation that my fabric had been shipped! I subsequently went about trying to contact the company to see if something had gone wrong. I tried the messaging system on their website at least twice, e-mailed them twice, tried to get in touch through instagram, and even called several times to no avail. Finally, only after messaging them on twitter (a public social media page), I received a reply which stated that I would be emailed the next business day (note, at this point I had been trying to get contact with them for weeks). Thereafter I received an email from a fellow named Andrew who told me that my order hadn't shipped because the fabric I wanted was in fact discontinued. He was amiable and apologetic in our emails and offered to let me select something else from their website. I considered his offer but found nothing that suited my needs and thereafter asked for a refund. This was on February 21st. He did not respond to my request until I asked again on February 29th and told me his admin team would get on it next week .Fast forward two weeks later and they still had not refunded my money and seemed reluctant to respond to my emails asking them to do so. Luckily, I was able to file for a refund through paypal which I then escalated to a claim that Yorkshire Fabric Limited never responded to. It might be worth adding that the refund was no small amount: it was almost $250 CAD! Thankfully I got my money back but the whole experience was so unpleasant and, browsing the google reviews for their page, I don't seem to be the only one who has gone through this. Again, please, don't buy from them: THEY ARE EITHER A SCAM OR SO INCREDIBLY NEGLIGENT IN THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT IT ASSUREDLY WONT BE WORTH YOUR TROUBLE TO BUY FROM THEM IF YOU RUN INTO ANY PROBLEMS WITH YOUR ORDER. I have reported them to the FTC but who knows when such a complaint might be resolved.

I placed an order on March 6th. My money was taken from my debit card. No further communications. I chased on March 23rd. Promised a call back. I chased again on March 28th and I was told (with no apology) the line was discontinued and in around 2 - 3 days he hoped he could show me new line to see if suitable alternative. He didn't know timescales for delivery. The fabric was perfect and we have paid a deposit to a seamstress to make the items for our office from the fabric. Client service terrible and a complete lack of apology or concern. Monies refunded without request. Hey it is no longer his problem that way. How rude.

I was excited when I found this store because they had the exact fabric I've been looking for with beautiful colours so I went ahead and spent over $600. Now I'm highly disappoint because it's been a while since I placed the order with them and nothing's been shipped AND they refuse to answer any of my emails. It's a bit frustrating because I need these fabrics for my samples and It's very obvious that this company is not reliable. Even if we're in a pandemic, the least they can do is provide good customer service but nope. There may be good reviews but I don't thing Yorkshire Fabric is worth the risk.
