Really interesting and fun interactive tour! Delicious samples to enjoy and we loved making our own lollies as well as learning about and watching different chocolate making processes and techniques. Our guide Sarah was absolutely fab! Very knowledgeable with a beautifully enthusiastic delivery of the tour! Would definitely recommend to any chocolate lover!

Great place. There's a shop where you can get ice cream and chocolates. You can take the chocolate tour. There's one where you can make your own truffles. The chocolate is nice and creamy. I will definitely go again when I go back to York.

Had a brilliant time here. Couldn’t have been a better experience for a first visit. The tour guide was friendly, the tour itself was immersive and informative. I had my fill of chocolate throughout, getting to taste chocolate in its purest form was a fun experience. Perfect for someone who loves their chocolate like I do!

Worth a visit, kids loved it . Main way into the place it is via a lift.
All good if you like them, but as I don't, I got taken up the back entrance up the stairs as I fear confined spaces so i don't do lifts.
I was made to wait til last though as my family went in lift which made me feel they was somehow annoyed with me .
Maybe ask people before they enter do they like lifts. Not everybody does .
Apart from that we all had a good day . Staff was friendly

The tour was great with lots of interesting facts. Giulia our tour guide was lovely and attentive. She was knowledgeable and answered questions we had along the way. The handouts were great and we loved the lolly making part. Well worth the trip! x

We had a fantastic time at York’s Chocolate Story! Our lovely tour guide Gina was so enthusiastic and shared such a depth of information about the history of York’s chocolate industry and kept us all smiling and laughing throughout! The tour lasts about an hour and is fully immersive, packed with lots of fun facts and we were given lots of free sweeties and chocolates along the tour which was great! We got to make our own chocolate lollies, and a special mention to Josh the chocolatier who gave us a wonderful demonstration and was very cheerful and engaging. 10/10 would recommend if you’re in York and have an hour or two to spare!

We had a very enjoyable experience here and our tour guide Harriet was extremely friendly and helpful, especially with my dad and his mobility issues. The samples and the history behind them were plentiful and definitely something we are glad to have done. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone!!

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience here !
Rachel.C our tour guide was amazing, the amount of things the tour guides remember is brilliant. The whole tour round was very interesting and she tried to keep everyone entertained and happy as we went round. The kids got a little interactive part during the experience and at the end you get to make your own chocolate lollies and take them home. Overall, really enlightening experience if you’re in York, worth the price you pay !
