I had the pleasure of dealing with Conar (think I spelt it right). He greeted me warmly, was very attentive and provided a good price. Delivery went just as promised and his communication was spot on.

We just built a new build annex using Youngs in biddenden for 90% of the materials.

Alfie and Dave behind the counter was always super helpful, and the lads in the yard never keep you waiting are don’t hesitate to help load up.

Counter staff obviously not on same page as yard staff. Attitude is poor. 4 staff embers at desks in the rear office and not one gets up to serve me even when they are not on the phone. When I do get served I am directed out to the timber yard to select my goods only to get raised eyes from yard staff as if I am in the wrong for not having a ticket. And then I am abruptly told I have to buy full lengths of 3.9 timber when my need is for 2m lengths. Why can’t you cut? 2.1 from 3.9 is 1.8 still a saleable length. It’s not my fault you don’t have 2.1 or 4.2 in stock.
Good job there is RVT down the road who have a much better selection of lengths and have a helpful customer attitude. I won’t bother returning even for a paint brush.

I very rarely review like this but unfortunately my experience of Youngs customer service and helpfulness, or lack of it has put me off going again to the Biddenden branch. I was told by one of the office staff when I asked for mineralised roofing felt that he had never heard of it and said he had no idea what I was talking about. Another idiot earlier on in the day sold me the wrong product completely. Don't bother using them, I won't ,there are plenty more businesses out there.

We have been using Youngs at Biddenden for the last year or so and have found the branch to be nothing short of excellent with very knowledgeable and helful staff every time. I completly disagree with the previous reviewer's rant and the unecessary language about one of Youngs staff. I would be happy to recommend this branch with confidence.
