My review is an odd one as we didn’t attend any shows. New Years Eve we travelled from Leicester to Birmingham simply to do the ‘reindeer trail’ as my youngest son, on the spectrum, likes to do them and likes to finish a trail, it’s his thing. We take photos of each spot on a trail. One of the reindeer had been moved from outside in the square to inside this building. We were limited for time and this building was closed till 11am, we finished trail and returned at 11 and were barred from entering. The reindeer was about 5 yards away but no, I asked if I could take a photo from were we stood but no, the security guard refused, arms folded and stood directly in front of me. He told us there were children inside the building (not in foyer, not where we could physically see them) and so we couldn’t go in. This was odd as not sure what my sons and I had to do with the kids that were somewhere in the building. Made me feel uncomfortable. I said I’d like his name as I was putting in a complaint and he called his manager, I explained to this chap and he let us in to take our photo, very quickly, literally took about 5 steps into the foyer then out again. We’d had such a great day but this, this kinda for a moment put it on a downer. Should have left the sculpture outside maybe till the end of the trail date.

The venue was excellent, and the acoustics were great overall. The staff was very friendly and helpful in assisting me to find my seat. It was an enjoyable experience attending a concert at the Town Hall, and I would highly recommend it.

Great venue. Feels intimate as it's not too big, but large enough to generate an atmosphere

Please be aware that there is no possibility of obtaining a refund or credit voucher, when there is a demonstrable reason for cancelling. Do not expect sympathy kindness. So book the ticket protection even if you cannot imagine that you might be unable to attend.

Even though I'm a "Brummie" I don't actually remember visiting this building as a child. Close your eyes and you actually think you are back in the Roman Forum standing before the Temple of Castor and Pollux on which this building was based. It was closed when I visited, raining outside but still amazing to behold.
Among the many artists Paul Robeson, the African American polymath and equality campaigner performed here to raise funds back in 1939.

Saw the show about Sun Records set up by Sam Phillips in 1952. He discovered Elvis. The guys who took the part of Elvis, Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis were fantastic. Quite a plain interior, the Town Hall is all very clean. Is a bit chilly in the auditorium. Has two bars, serves coffee too. It has excellent acoustics..the most important feature. I was allowed to dance rocknroll in the space between the seats but not in the aisles.

Lovely venue and a great place to see a show. I would say they didn't have enough staff for the amount of people at the bar and merch. Also they ran out of booze, a bit odd you think they would have experience of large events.

Beautiful building in a central location. Friendly helpful staff and so much to see. We watched Tom Ball and the overtones and was blown away, felt very intimate yet so professional.
